The studio is led by two professionally trained artists from Ukraine, Oleg Palme and Lilia Akhatchinskaia.
Both of them are passionate about what they do and they live for the studio. They treat all studio
members as family, providing advice, understanding, and professional development. The professional
resumes outlining the extensive experience of instructors are attached.
The studio sees new participants every season. Through workshops and episode roles, children develop
acting skills, presentation skills and other important skills useful for everyday life. There are some
members of the studio that have been acting for over 10 years and a few at a 5-7 year level, which puts
their acting skills at a very high level due to both experience and long-term training. The instructors
always incorporate actors of different levels into plays, so that the senior actors could provide support
and an enticing learning environment for the younger generation.
Studio also works closely with the Russian Folk Dance collective "Yablochko" who assist with dance
choreography and sometimes even participate in plays themselves.
MEASURING ANTICIPATED RESULTS
The first step in measuring our results is audience response. We are planning to have feedback forms
available after each show so that we could have tangible data to analyze. We will look at feedback from
people who will watch our show for the first time and feedback from our regular viewers. The feedback
will influence our future plans. For example, the scope and theme of performances we chose, the
number of times to run the show, the preferred method of delivering the play to English speaking
audience will be determined.
In addition, as our dream is to go on tour to Seattle and Oregon with both Russian and English plays, the
outcome of the "Dead Souls", our biggest production ever, will show us the feasibility of such a plan.
We hope to attract attention from other potential sponsors by presenting a play on a larger scale. We
will adjust our long-term plans depending on the financial prospects.
