Russian Theatre Palme presents own version of our favorite mystery novel:

"The Hound of the Baskervilles"

Thanks to our innovative approach (a combination of video and on-stage performance) this is a film-play. The genre itself is a gothic mystery novel with elements of mysticism.

�The play is performed in a modern rhythm suitable for all those who feel themselves to be young at heart: there is a lot of movement, music and dancing. You won�t have the chance to be bored!� says, Oleg Palme, the director.

Sherlock Holmes as performed by Russian Theatre Palme features 12 of our most experienced actors, original special effects, 1.5 years worth of video footage taken in Vancouver�s most scenic spots and is, in a word, our very own Vancouverite Sherlock Holmes!

We will also showcase Oleg Palme�s collection of tobacco pipes. You may take a photo with a pipe just like one used by Holmes himself.
There will be a buffet of Russian treats containing all kinds of cakes and pastries, as well as a wine bar.

RECENT ACTIVITIES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS

Since 2006 we have presented 18 performances. Five of them were charitable. In 2007 alone, 80 tickets were donated to Kids Up Front Foundation.

2006
	January 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 –"Snow Queen" - fairytale by Hans Anderson. February 26, 27 – "The Spring at 4th Avenue" – concert. May 14, 21, 27, 28, June 18 – " And the Dawn is silent here" –video-play by Boris Vasilyev". November 4, 5, 11, 12 – " The Little Prince" – video-play by Antoine Saint Exupery. December 27 – "Winnie The Pooh and others" by Alexander Miln.
2007
	January 6,7,14, 20, 21 - "Vinny Pooh and all other "by Alexander Miln - fairytale for children. March 25, April 1 - The concert "Spring on 4th Avenue". May 26, 27, June 2, 3, November 3, 4 – video-play "By the Lake" by Anton Chekhov. June 17, 24, 29, 30, October 25, 26 – "Buratino" by Aleksei Tolstoy- a fairytale for children December 28, 29 - " A Cunning Fairy-Tale" by Jan Ekholm.
2008
	There were 5 performances of " A Cunning Fairy-Tale" in January. February and March - "Filumena Marturano or Marriage, the Italian Way" play for adult audience. March -A very successful concert "The Spring at 4th Avenue" this year. May and June - The Inspector General" by Nikolai Gogol.
